We are a husband and wife team driven by the enjoyment and connection food can bring to all of us when done right.

Dan has spent most of his working life as a music consultant to film and commercials. Enthusiastically jumping into the food world to seek and nurture new challenges, passions and connections.

Kate has followed an exciting catering career from London’s fine dining tables to being a chef on a sailing boat expedition to the Antarctica. A qualified nutritionist, she will ensure our food is as good for you as it tastes!

To celebrate and elevate, at it’s most simple and best, the timeless act of ‘breaking bread’, defined as a meaningful and companionable shared experience over food.

We will look to nourish our customers and communities in as many ways as possible and help reverse the decline of these important shared meals.

We believe the everyday food offer has been devalued with highly processed foods, lacklustre service and generic environments.

We put personality, purpose and delight back into this everyday experience.

 

 Making Success Sustainable

Our aim is for the lowest environmental impact through a common sense sourcing and service policy. As much as we can we reduce our food miles by sourcing local and seasonal, which also has a positive effect on the local economy and community.

Making almost everything fresh by hand helps keep product purchases to a minimum so avoiding unnecessary industrial processes. Our cafe only uses recycled biodegradable disposable packaging, as well as composting our coffee grinds and other waste products.

What is sustainable for the individual may not always be the case locally or globally. It is never a perfect balance but we are always looking to improve and currently working on better waste and cleaning practices.
